How we work

Your wedding is a very special event. Two families, two groups of friends and the two of you become one. Everything is perfect, from the dresses and suits through the ceremony and flowers to the gala reception afterwards, your wedding is special and unique. To remember and share this wonderful event, you want photographs that capture the warmth, excitement and every special moment. Pictures not only record the event, really excellent photos let you relive and share the moments again and again. That’s where we come in.

Depending on your desires and ideas, we will cover the preparation at the church, the ceremony, family portraits after the ceremony and the main events of the reception including the cake cutting, garter and bouquet toss, toasts, first dances, etc. The day is yours, we do not charge by the hour, so you don’t have to worry if things run a little late. Our style is photo-journalistic. We cover your wedding as though it were a news story, capturing the excitement and emotion. Of course, we stage the family and other formal portraits, but everything is photographed as it happens.

Our basic packages appear below, but every wedding is unique so, we are completely flexible in modifying them. Tell us what you want and we can make it happen.

Wedding Collections

We cover as much of the event as you want. Typically, we begin with preparation at the church and run through the garter toss, but you are not limited to that. There will be two photographers and two sets of equipment. We will coordinate with you to identify exactly the types of pictures you want and especially the “must gets” of special people and activities. Within three weeks of the wedding, you will receive a proof CD of all the photos taken. After you review your photos, we will meet with you to layout your album.

Cool Things That Don’t Cost Extra

Artistic treatments such as black and white, sepia, watercolor, posterized, dreamy etc. of photos in the album or separately ordered prints 8x10” or larger can be done at no extra charge. There is also no charge for removing minor skin blemishes etc. Please note that this does not include hair color change or drastic changes of clothing.

Cool Things That DO Cost Extra

Engagement Photos

We go on location with you (Within 50 miles of Lenexa, Kansas) and take twenty-five 5x7” photos which you receive in an album. You select your favorite and we make an elegant 11x14” print for display on your wedding day. Delivery is two weeks after the session so schedule accordingly.
